Sundance A3 Feature Screenplay Competition

I’ve completed my first working draft of ‘All-American Boy’. On December 15th, 2014, I submitted it to the Sundance Asian American Feature Film Fellowship as part of the Asian American Artists Foundation. For more information, visit http://www.a3-foundation.org/

A coming of age story about Justin Zhang, a bright Asian-American kid growing up in Wisconsin who wants so badly to fit in to American culture that sacrifices his identity and future. (Boyz n the Hood, Better Luck Tomorrow).

Photos from Backpacking 7 Countries for 2.5 Months

I’m coming home after almost 4 months of being abroad working on a Michael Mann film in Hong Kong, visiting world heritage religious sites in Indonesia, witnessing Asia’s wealth in Singapore, scuba diving in Malaysia, motorbiking down the coast of Vietnam and learning what I didn’t learn in school about the US-Vietnam war, Muay Thai kickboxing in Thailand and trekking the 10th highest mountain range in the world ascending to over 5,400 meters (17,000ft) in the Annapurna Circuit of Nepal!

Learned so much about the way others live (most importantly EAT), reflected my privileges as an American and met many great people. Now it’s back to my favorite place on earth, Los Angeles to artistically express my new life experiences through my love for the craft of acting. Here’s my 10 favorite photos.
