Dominic Zhai is a Chinese-American actor born in Madison, Wisconsin with bilingual fluency in American English and Mandarin Chinese. He graduated with highest honors and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Wisconsin – Madison with an emphasis in Biology, Chinese, Theatre & Drama and studied postgraduate at London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Dominic personally helped to coach Tang Wei (Lust, Caution dir. Ang Lee) alongside Aaron Speiser (Coach of Will Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Gerard Butler) for two months in director Michael Mann’s latest film, Blackhat. He worked in both Los Angeles and Hong Kong closely alongside Michael Mann, Chris Hemsworth, Wang Leehom and Viola Davis.

In 2015, Dominic Zhai had his debut Chinese-market wide release theatrical film called ‘Lost in the Pacific’ starring Brandon Youth and Zhang Yuqi.

Dominic has studied and performed theater & drama since high school. In college, Dominic founded and directed a multicultural theater group. He continues to study under coach Aaron Speiser and improvisation at Upright Citizens Brigade.

In addition, Dominic is a mixed martial artist trained in Muay Thai at Tiger Muay Thai camp in Phuket, Thailand as well as Boxing and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

At the end of the day, Dominic Zhai is an Chinese-American actor that wants to become a role model for Asian-American children in the United States, creating social and cultural awareness through mass media.
